Namaste Devotees ! I Rajiv Krishna Dasa welcome you to the world of Saligramas. Shaligrams are the divine gift of Lord Vishnu to the mankind, whose worship can spiritually uplift and show us the way to philanthropy, austerity and Salvation. Lord Vishnu has been taking birth in several forms (incarnations) duing the time immemorial and is saving the mankind from the hardships and miseries. In Kalyuga, Shaligram Shilas which are His direct manifestation will continue to show the light of conciousness and spiritual liberation to the mankind.
The devotees who have been benefitted wants to accumulate atleast 108 Shilas. Because, as per 'Garuda Purana' Lord Vishnu has mentioned that, “Where 108 Shilas are kept and worshipped, that place becomes 'Vaikuntha' and I personally come and stay there and bless the worshipper". Due to the prevalent myths and misconceptions about this mystic Shila the devotees are sometimes not sure whether they would worship the Shila correctly. www.shaligram.com has determined to remove all misconceptions about this pious stone from the mind of the people and take atleast one Shaligram Shila to every Altar that is existing on this Earth. I would request you to kindly refer to 'Help' icon to facilitate easy browsing and proper navigation of the site.
Dear Devotees please note that sharp impressions on the Shree Shaligrama Shilas have tremendous capabilities to store enormous amount of cosmic energies and when worshipped the same is being released from the markings and beautiful impressions of these mystic Shilas to bless the worshipper. The names of the Shree Shaligrama Shilas are different because they have different impressions and markings and therefore it is more prudent that we must acquire more of different types of Shree Shaligrama Shilas so that we are benefitted by all different types of transcedental energies liberated from these Shree Shaligram Shilas. Dear Devotees please try to keep more than four Shaligram Shilas in even number in the Altar and to start with only one Shree Shaligram Shila can be kept in the Altar. The worship of Shree Shaligram Shilas has proved to be very meritorious and in one of the texts from Skanda Purana Lord Shiva Himself is explaining His son Skanda that if the devotee does'nt pay obeisances to Shaligram Shila I don't accept his prayers. That means even Lord Shiva has advised devotees that worshipping of Shree Shaligram Shilas is very auspicous and should be done.
PUJITO’HAM NA TAIR MARTYAIR NAMITO’HAM NA TAIR NARAH
NAKRTAM MARTYA LOKE YAIH SALAGRAM SILARCANAM
(HARI BHAKTI VILASA 5/396 From SKANDA PURANA)
(Lord Shiva speaks to his son, Skanda) in this mortal world, if anyone does not worship Shalagram Shila, I do not not at all accept any of their worship and obeisances.
KHANDITAM SPHUTITAM BHAGNAM PARSVA BHINNAM VIBHEDITAM
SALAGRAMA SAMUDBHUTAM SAILAM DOSAVAHAM NA HI
(HARI BHAKTI VILASA 5/309 From BRAHMA PURANA spoken by the Supreme Lord) Even if the Shalagram Shila is broken in half or broken a little, or having a broken back, even in such a condition, Shalagram Shila is free from fault and can be worshiped.
In the texts it is written that any type of Shaligrama Shila whether broken or chipped is also auspicious for worshipping. Bur Devotees,as far as possible we should worship an unbroken Shila with very good markings, good lusture, smooth and small to medium size. Worshipping Shaligram Shila will bring immense prosperity, extreme protection and peace in our lives.
YE PIVANTI NARA NITYAN SALAGRAMA SILA JALAM
PANCA GAVYA SAHASRAIS TU SEVITAIH KIM PRAYOJANAM
(HARI BHAKTI VILASA 9/20 FROM PADMA PURANA)
Any persopn who has drank the water which has bathed shalagram shila. That is equivalent to drinking thousand and thousands of times pancagavya.
(Pancagavya is made from five auspicious products of a cow offered to the Lord)
Dear Devotees, the 'Mahima' ( the greatness') of Shree Shaligrams is beyond imagination. The Shree Shaligram is a direct manifestation of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi is Vishnu's cohort, so the worshipper of the Shaligram gets the blessings of both Lord Vishnu as well as Laxmi ji also. The water which has bathed Shree Shaligram is equivalent to 'Amrit' which can bless the devotee with a very good health. The drinking of such water is also very auspicious and helps the devotee in achieving Salvation.
NAIVEDYAM PURATO NYASTAM DRISTAIVEVA SVIKARTAM MAYA BHAKTAYA RASANAGRENA RASAM ASNAMI PADMAJA
(HARI BHAKTI VILASA 10/360 FROM BRAHMA PYRAA spoken by the supreme Lord) Oh Brahma, If someone makes on offering of food grains in front of shalagram shila (who is no different from Me), I just by looking at it eat it, but I taste the food when my devotees touch it with their tongues (eat it).
Lord Vishnu loves his devotees very much and always bless them under any circumstances. It is always considered extremely good to first offer the sweets and fruits to Lord Shaligrama in the morning after bath and then the devotee himself can have his food. This is just like a mark of respect to the Lord and it is like a total surrender to Him.
GANGA GODAVARI REVA NADYO MUKTI PRADAS TO YAH

KOTE TIRTHA SAHASRAIS TU SEVITAIH KIM PRAYOJANAM
TIRHAM YADI BHAVET PUNYAM SALAGRAMA SILODBHAVAM
(HARI BHAKTI VILASA 3/293, 294 From PADMA PURANA)
The water which has washed Shalagram Shila includes the water from the Ganga, Godavari, Reva and other liberating rivers. If this bath water from the Shalagram Shila is available, the there is no need for thousands of other places of piligrimage.
The water of Lord Shaligram which has touched Him or bathed Him is extremely auspicious and it is equivalent to thousand pilgrimages.
DRSTVA PRANAMITA YENA SNAPITA PUJITA TATHA
YAJNA KOTI SAMAM PUNYAN GAVAM KOTI PHALM BHAVET. .
(HARI BHAKTI VILASA 5/384 From SKANDA PURANA) Lord shiva spoke to Skanda, his son, saying that any person who has seen Shalagram Shila, paid obeisances to Him, bathed and worshipped Him, has achieved the results of performing ten million sacrifices and giving ten million cows in charity.
SALAGRAMA SILARUPI YATRA TISTHATI KESAVAH
NAVADHANTE’SURAS TATRA BHUTA VETALAK ADAYAH
SALAGRAM SILA YATRA TAT TIRTHAM TAT TAPOVANAM
YATAH SANNIHITAS TATRA BHAGAVAN MADHUSUDANAH
(HARI BHAKTI VILASA 5/427 , 428 From BRHAN NARADIYA PURANA) In any place, if Lord Keshava is situated there in the form of Shalagram Shila, there neither demons, not ghosts, nor devils, can create any obstacles to that person or place. Any place where Shalagra Shila situated can be turned into a place of pilgrimage and a place for performing austerities because the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Madhusudana (killer of the Madhu demon), personally resides there.

Dear Devotees, please understand that Shree Shaligram Shilas can be worshipped by ladies and any human being irrespective of caste, colour and creed. So worship Shree Shaligrama Shilas fearlessly.
Dear Devotees, as I have recommended earlier to have different types of Shree Shaligram Shilas in your Altars, in that step we have categorised Shree Shaligram Shilas in a group called 'Shaligram Sangrahas'. It is an established fact that whwen ever the Shree Shaligram Shilas are worshipped in a group their effect multiplies manifold times. I take this oppurtunity to request all, to keep Shree Shaligram Sangraha in their Altars to have very quick and fast results.
Dear Devotees, please note that worshipping of Dwarka Shilas along with Shree Shaligram Shilas increases the effect of worshipping manifold times as compared to the individual worshipping. So it is always recommended that Shree Shaligram Shilas should be worshipped along with Dwarka Shilas.
Dear Devotees, We have tried tyo collect many extremely rare and auspicious Heera Shankhs for our esteemed devotees at a very reasonable donation amounts. The Heera Shankhs are essentially right side Shankhs which are fossilised and are used for Laxmi Siddhi. These are very rare Shankhs and are very difficult to obtain. I would request to our devotees to keep atleast one Heera Shankh in their Altar or Puja room.
We have a great collection of puja utensils, CD,s Shree Shaligram Shilas Sringar items like Mukuts, Eyes, Thrones, Shankhs of different varieties made up of panchdhatu, silver, gold and brass. Dear Devotees, this is our fourth generation who is collecting rare and auspicious Shree Shaligram Shilas. Since my great grand father and my grand father had collected more than 10.000 Shree Shaligram Shilas and same thing was continued with my father and me also, soon we had realised that we have extremely rare, exotic and over 50,000 Shree Shaligram Shilas in our Kosha. We observed that since these Shilas were not readily available the Shaligram sellers started cheating the devotees with spurious Shilas made up of black stones and cement and started demanding unreasonable amounts from them. To bring these auspicious Shilas to the masses, so that each one of us can get benefit out of these mystic Shilas we statrted website www.shaligram.com in 2003. Dear Devotees, our main aim is to donate genuine, original and Shaligram Shilas obtained from Kali Gandaki river and take Shree Shaligram Shila to each and every Altar or Puja room on this Earth. I would like to request our all devotee cliets to recommend our sites amongst your friends and relatives so that each and every devotee takes an advantage of the same and gets a chance to obtain a most genuine Gandaki Shree Shaligrama Shilas from your own organisation www.shaligram.com. We shall also welcome suggestions from your side so that we can further improvise our website and more effectively serve you and meet your all requirements.
OM SHANTI SHANTI SHANTI.
