Meteorite Shila Pooja Procedure

A meteorite shila is a direct manifestation of Lord Shani Dev, especially if the color of the meteorite is slightly shiny black. The worship of meteorite shila also pleases Shiva, Parvati, Ganesha and Kartikeya. The meteorites are essentially asteroids or heavenly bodies which lose their orbit and come out of their orbit because of some instabilities. Now they can fall anywhere in the entire universe. Sometimes they fall on the Earth. Now as soon as they enter the Earth's environment, they catch fire due to friction and start burning. These burning heavenly bodies are dangerous sometimes if they fall at the place where people are staying. However sometimes when they fall on the Earth and that too over the water by chance, they get cooled down and their fire is extinguished and they become meteorites. We see shooting stars also as asteroids but since their size is small so they burn completely before touching the Earth surface.

The worship procedure goes as follows:

1. Wake up before sunrise in the morning and become pure after taking a bath.

2. After this, wear clean clothes and sit on a comfortable asan of tiger skin or lion skin or cheetah skin or on kusha asan or on woolen asan facing South direction.

3. Now clean the Meteorite Shila with water and then oil, honey and curd. Put two or three drops of Sarson oil or til oil on the meteorite shila again on the meteorite shila.

4. Then again clean it with the water on a Dakshinavarti Shankh.

5. Place it on a plate and sprinkle ganga jal.

6. Now worship meteorite shila with agarbatti & Deepak by showing these things to the meteorite shila.

7. Offer flowers and fruits to the shila.

8. Chant the following mantra.

Shani Mantra: Nilanjana samabhasam raviputram yamagrajam, chaya martande sambhutam, tam namami shaishcharam

शनि मंत्र: नीलांजना संभासम रविपुत्रम यमगराजम्, छाया मार्तंड संभूतम तम नमामि शैशचरम

9. Speak out your wish loudly in front of the shila everyday which is basically affirmation and the wish is fulfilled in a few days. However, I continue worshipping the meteorite shila.

Donate Black sabut Urad dal to the poor especially on Saturday.
Also give chapati to the cow and black dog or any dog if the black dog is not available.

Also offer some jaggery to the black ants.
Be positive in your thoughts and do good to others.
Worship of the meteorite shila could be done in the evening also. Worship is done before sunrise and after sunset.
