Tulasi, the woman devotee, performed atonements for long years and that she got an aid from Vishnu. They both married as Shaligram and Tulsi.

All the devatas cut the Shaligram stones which resembles various forms of Vishnu. Like the love of Siva as a lingam, the love of Vishnu in the state of a Shaligram is a famous in character.
